About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, professional, and confident Security Officer to join our team within a corporate-level environment. This role suits someone comfortable working independently and lone working, who can take ownership of their responsibilities and has a proactive and professional approach to security and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner
- Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal are adhered to
- Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers
- Conduct foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets
- Investigate and take the appropriate lawfully action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fire incidents
- Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures
- Operate all pass systems relevant to an assignment
- Conduct lawful searches of vehicles and persons in accordance with instructions issued
- Utilize all current and applicable firefighting equipment
- Adhere to health and safety instructions pertaining to assigned duties
- Operate basic switchboard equipment effectively
Requirements
- Valid SIA licence
- CCTV Licence
- Minimum 2 years of proven work experience as a Security Officer
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- High level of self-presentation
- IT literate- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Quick thinking and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges
