About the Role

Join Dell Technologies as a Product Operations Principal Engineer in Hanoi, Vietnam, to coordinate operational activities for new product introductions and sustainment, ensuring stable and controlled migrations of hardware, software, and networking changes into the production environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination of operational activities associated with the introduction of a new product worldwide.
• Coordinate all operational activities associated with the introduction of the new product.
• Ensure stable, controlled migration of hardware, software and networking changes into the production environment.
• Ensure consistency between production and test environments.
• Create/maintain build processes.
• Coordinate product builds for release into production.
• Prioritize failures and work with development to resolve problems.
• Set up configuration specifications for releases.
• Represent Worldwide Operations from a product perspective.
• Create factory strategies and plans for Worldwide Operations based on product plans and roadmaps.
• Utilize metrics to improve new production, introduction process and product quality.
• Ensure Operations achieves Ready to Ship Release and transactions into production/sustaining.
• Transition products from the OLP process to the sustaining phase.
• Drive action plans and strategies to reduce overall manufacturing transformation cost.
• Drive quality improvements by eliminating sources of defects in the design, supplier, new product introduction and manufacturing processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in OLP process, product manufacturability and flexibility, and operations cycle time and quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Possess wide-ranging experience, using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and company protocol.
• Implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.
• Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation.
• Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
