About the Role
Gap Inc. is undergoing an enterprise-wide Product to Market (P2M) Transformation called IndigoX to modernize inventory planning, buying, and allocation. The Manager, P2M Transformation – Merch Planning & Inventory Optimization will be a key partner in this transformation, responsible for program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and tracking business value for planning, buying, and inventory initiatives. This role requires managing program complexity and applying an AI-native mindset to operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead program management for MP&IO work stream initiatives, maintaining structured milestone tracking, cross-functional accountability, and risk resolution.
- Support the design and activation of future-state planning capabilities by partnering with business and technology stakeholders.
- Maintain rigorous governance across MP&IO workstreams, ensuring clear and timely visibility into program health, risks, and decisions.
- Track and quantify business value delivered by MP&IO initiatives, translating program milestones into financial and operational outcomes.
- Identify and manage interdependencies between MP&IO and adjacent IndigoX pillars, ensuring cross-pillar coordination.
- Champion an AI-native approach to program operations and planning work, experimenting with generative AI and intelligent tools.
- Develop leadership communications, from working-team updates to executive materials, translating complex dynamics into clear narratives.
- Partner with change management to design and execute adoption strategies for new planning capabilities and ways of working.
- Bring new methods, frameworks, and ways of thinking to the MP&IO program to improve transformation delivery.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of professional experience in consulting, finance, consumer goods, apparel, retail, technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional programs, bringing structure, clarity, and accountability to large, ambiguous initiatives.
- A native AI mindset, actively exploring how generative AI and intelligent tools can enhance team thinking, work, and delivery.
- Strong analytical capabilities to synthesize complex information, identify structural issues, and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Skilled stakeholder management experience, building trust and working effectively across senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Ability to develop clear, compelling communications and presentations for leadership.
- A genuine drive to bring new ideas and external perspectives into the organization.
- Resilience and adaptability to operate with clarity in ambiguous environments and manage competing priorities.
