About the Role

Responsibilities
- Support the Chef in the preparation and cooking of age-appropriate food for all children.
- Minimize food wastage.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Take responsibility for running the kitchen in the Chef's absence.
- Ensure all dietary requirements are catered for and communicated to teams.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a cooking role (domestic or commercial).
- Passion for nutrition and inspiring healthy eating.
- Demonstrated knowledge of managing different dietary requirements, especially food allergies.
- Sound knowledge of COSHH.
- Great communication skills with colleagues, children, and parents.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Must pass Food Safety CIEH L2 or equivalent on day 1.
- Subject to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
