About the Role

Our early childhood center is seeking a Lead Infant Teacher to create innovative lesson plans focused on sensory, cognitive, and motor development for infants and young toddlers. This role is crucial for enhancing the learning environment and supporting the growth of our youngest students.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the daily needs of infants and manage care for multiple infants simultaneously.
  • Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on individual child needs.
  • Facilitate children's learning and development within the classroom.
  • Communicate with parents regarding child development and daily schedule changes.
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers to monitor child development and implement daily plans.
  • Implement daily lessons including sensory, cognitive, and motor activities.
  • Provide diapering, potty training, and daily care for toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of New York State OCFS Regulations for Day Care Centers.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Nurturing teaching approach.
  • Compassionate attitude and strong understanding of child development.
  • Experience caring for infants and toddlers.
  • Full-time availability; hours may vary between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.
