About the Role

As a Junior AI Engineer, you will develop, integrate, and scale AI solutions for portfolio companies and the fund itself. You will combine technical expertise with an understanding of business contexts to drive AI development from prototype to production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate solutions based on Large Language Models (e.g., RAG systems, chatbots, text generation).
• Conceptualize and implement autonomous AI agents for process automation in portfolio companies.
• Develop algorithmic solutions for specific business requirements.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data infrastructures.
• Conduct exploratory analyses, support investment teams, and coach portfolio companies.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of Python and common AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, LangChain, Hugging Face).
• Practical experience in developing and applying Machine Learning models and LLMs.
• Experience with databases, cloud environments (Azure, AWS), and data pipelines.
• Completed Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Very good German and English language skills (both C1 - C2) in speaking and writing.
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working.
• Strong communication skills, team spirit, and enthusiasm for AI.
