About the Role
We are seeking a Mid-level Software Developer in Test to join our Quality Engineering team. This is a hands-on role for a self-driven engineer who is passionate about their work and enjoys teamwork. You will own significant parts of our automation platform, collaborate with senior engineers, and mentor junior team members. The role involves extensive work with CI pipelines on real Connected TV devices.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks and tooling.
- Own and manage CI pipelines, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to the full test lifecycle: requirement analysis, test planning, execution, defect capture, and reporting.
- Write and review code, adhering to quality and documentation standards.
- Investigate and triage failures, including intermittent ones, and drive them to resolution.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns through pairing, code review, and coaching.
- Report and prioritize bugs, communicating clearly with stakeholders.
- Contribute to test strategy discussions.
- Research and share knowledge on new tools, frameworks, and approaches.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in test automation, SDET, or equivalent software engineering roles.
- Strong working knowledge of TypeScript and/or Python.
- Proficiency with at least one modern test framework (Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, or similar).
- Good understanding of Node.js and JavaScript.
- Comfort with bash scripting.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Docker, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes and tools (e.g., Jira).
- Solid documentation skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Proven track record of taking ownership of work and delivering results.
