A family in Rye, NY seeks an experienced Nanny/Housekeeper for a long-term position. This role involves childcare, housekeeping, laundry, organization, driving, and light cooking to support a busy household with three school-aged children. Responsibilities
- Pick up children from school and transport them to after-school activities.
- Prepare healthy snacks and simple dinners, and pack school lunches.
- Organize school paperwork, sports equipment, and prepare for the next school day.
- Provide homework reminders and general supervision.
- Complete children's laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away clothes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's bedrooms, play spaces, and belongings.
- Serve as a warm, engaging, and dependable presence for the children.
- Maintain overall home cleanliness and organization, including kitchens, bathrooms, and floors.
- Complete adult and household laundry, change bed linens, and maintain bedrooms.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and reset throughout the week.
- Organize closets, drawers, pantries, and household storage spaces.
- Return household items to their proper locations and maintain organizational systems.
- Perform grocery shopping and maintain household inventory.
- Complete larger organizing and seasonal household projects during family travel.
- Ensure the home remains guest-ready and maintained to a high standard.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nanny, Housekeeper, Family Assistant, or in a similar private household role.
- Strong housekeeping and laundry experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Confident driver with experience transporting children.
- Comfortable preparing simple, healthy meals by following recipes.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Warm, engaging personality that genuinely enjoys spending time with children.
- Strong communication skills and reliability.
- Ability to anticipate household needs and take initiative without constant direction.
- Comfortable learning and maintaining detailed household organizational systems.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving three children daily using the family vehicle.
- CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain).

- Comfortable working in a three-story home and using stairs throughout the day.
