About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to be the technical leader for Offer Delivery, a backend service that decides which offer a player sees, when, and on what terms. You will set the technical vision, define architecture, influence the roadmap, and drive delivery of this high-throughput, latency-sensitive, and revenue-critical service. This role is central to evolving our core monetization product and driving innovation in rewarded advertising, fraud prevention, and large-scale data processing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and architecture for Offer Delivery services, features, and critical strategic initiatives.
- Build, test, and operate Golang services for real-time bidding and direct offer placement.
- Mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration with product, Ad Viewer, and other teams.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of production services, including on-call rotations and proactive monitoring.
Requirements
- Track record of owning a significant backend system, setting direction, making architectural calls, and driving delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to design and ship large-scale, highly available, latency-sensitive distributed services with complex business logic.
- Strong proficiency in backend development using Go or ability to become effective quickly.
- Working knowledge of gRPC with a willingness to adapt to the best tool for the job.
- Practical experience with observability platforms (logging, metrics, monitoring/tracing).
- Experience with message bus technologies for managing complex data streams.
- Proven track record of refactoring and redesigning existing systems.
- Experience driving technical work across team boundaries and developing engineers.
- Sufficient knowledge of English for professional verbal and written exchanges.
