About the Role
Board Intelligence is seeking a Brand Designer to join their design team. This hands-on role involves taking ownership of brand output across various channels, with a significant focus on digital design for websites and leveraging AI in the design workflow.
Responsibilities
- Take on-brand work from brief to finished asset with minimal supervision across web, social, campaign, and print.
- Design new pages and landing pages for websites, ensuring responsiveness and accessibility, built from the existing design system.
- Work with developers through handover, ensuring design fidelity.
- Create visual content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, including motion and short-form video.
- Propose social media formats and treatments to drive engagement and leads, using performance data to inform strategy.
- Build templates and reusable assets to scale content production.
- Design campaign and marketing collateral, applying and adapting the brand system across formats.
- Consistently apply brand guidelines and identify areas for system evolution.
- Utilize AI tools in daily workflow and share effective methods with the team.
- Communicate proactively, share work in progress early, and articulate design decisions.
- Connect design work to business goals and marketing objectives.
Requirements
- Commercial experience as a brand, digital, or graphic designer (approximately two to four years).
- A portfolio showcasing strong visual craft across digital channels, including typography, layout, hierarchy, and composition.
- Experience designing responsive web pages or landing pages.
- Experience working within an existing design system or component library.
- Working understanding of digital accessibility (WCAG AA in practice).
- Demonstrable social media design experience across LinkedIn, Instagram, or Facebook.
- Comfortable producing motion and animated assets or ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Hands-on, demonstrable use of AI in design workflow.
- High proficiency in Figma, including working with components and shared libraries.
- Strong Adobe Creative Cloud skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Ability to explain creative thinking to non-designers and receive feedback well.
- Experience designing for B2B, enterprise, professional services, or a regulated context (nice to have).
- Front-end familiarity (HTML and CSS) or hands-on experience with Webflow, Framer, or a CMS (nice to have).
- Experience with editorial and long-form design (nice to have).
- Email design experience (nice to have).
- Illustration, art direction of photography, or data visualization skills (nice to have).
- Experience working with a growth or performance marketing team (nice to have).
- Experience contributing to or maintaining brand guidelines (nice to have).
