About the Role
The Administrative Support position involves completing repetitive clerical tasks following specific procedures, such as coding and filing documents, opening mail, and operating basic office equipment. This is a highly supervised role requiring the use of judgment in task completion.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit wage garnishment documents and gather legal documentation.
- Confirm payment arrangements.
- Notify debtors of payments returned due to insufficient funds.
- Prepare consolidation or legal referral documents.
- Review accounts and schedule contact dates for follow-up calls.
- Prepare or update monthly and weekly reports for submission to management.
- Additional duties as assigned based on business need.
- Follow up with places of employment for garnishment payments.
- Safeguard computer systems by following proper username and password management.
- Secure desk and workstation when not present.
- Lock session and put sensitive paperwork away when not at desk.
- Do not share username or password with anyone.
- Report any security violations immediately to management.
- Follow all Information Technology policies and procedures regarding system accounts and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Collection experience preferred
- Must be U.S. citizen for security clearance
- Must be eligible to be licensed as a collector in certain states
- Must successfully complete and pass the FDCPA test
- Must be successfully approved to work on the contract, according to client requirements, state licensing, and background check procedure.
Skills
- Working knowledge of modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Principles and practices of customer service.
- Ability to establish a good working relationship with team members and internal contacts.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comply with rules, regulations, laws and methods related to debt collection.
- Ability to work independently in the absence of immediate supervision.
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
- Honesty, candor, and thoroughness in the completion of security forms.
