About the Role
Cedar is seeking a Data Scientist III (Product Analytics) to collaborate with product development teams, enabling data-driven decisions and analyzing user behavior. This role is crucial for ensuring world-class product development by identifying strategic opportunities, measuring product success, and understanding product strengths and weaknesses through data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to uncover user behavior insights and drive data-motivated decision-making.
- Design, execute, and evaluate product experiments to improve the patient experience and move key business metrics.
- Conduct exploratory research to identify new strategic levers and opportunities for product optimization.
- Define, measure, and track the success of new and existing product features.
- Build scalable dashboards to democratize actionable data insights across the organization.
- Communicate complex statistical findings and methodologies clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a product analytics or data science role (healthcare, fintech, or complex e-commerce experience is a plus).
- Expert-level SQL and strong Python skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Deep understanding of statistical methods and A/B test design for product evaluation.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams to launch and measure products.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering a world-class user experience and a strong growth mindset.
- Familiarity with modern data stack tooling (e.g., dbt, Looker, Hex) is preferred.
