About the Role

The VP, Catalog is an entrepreneurial leader responsible for the vision, structure, and revenue growth of the Global Catalog Division. This role treats the company’s entire repertoire as a dynamic, high growth engine, reporting to the SVP, Commerce. The executive operates as a key leader, ensuring catalog priorities are integrated into business planning and coordinated across teams. Leading a high-performing team, this leader ensures existing repertoire is positioned for cultural resurgence, algorithmic dominance, and sustained global P&L growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the Global Catalog roadmap in partnership with the SVP, establishing operating protocols and KPIs.
  • Ensure catalog priorities are integrated into label business planning and cross-functionally coordinated.
  • Assume full accountability for the Catalog division’s financial health and revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute catalog strategies across multiple revenue pillars to maximize global market share.
  • Partner with Label Heads and Global Commerce Leads to architect proactive catalog strategies.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across all commercial pillars to influence release cycles and unlock commercial opportunities.
  • Act as the central architect for maximizing repertoire impact across the organization.
  • Partner closely with Commerce, Marketing, and Relationship teams to identify culturally relevant moments and timing for catalog growth.
  • Partner with the Analytics team to embed data-driven decision making across the division.
  • Leverage data, tools, automation, and predictive modeling to scale catalog optimization globally.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower a specialized team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation where every catalog asset is treated with urgency, creativity, and strategic nuance.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in digital commerce, marketing, or distribution.
  • Significant background in project management and cross-functional global coordination.
  • Track record of building departments, startups, or specialized business units from the ground up.
  • Experience integrating teams into broader operating systems.
  • Deep understanding of the intersection between all commerce channels and economic models.
  • Advanced experience in P&L management and revenue modeling.
  • Comfortable utilizing data tools and automation to drive scalable, global optimization.
  • Robust network of senior tier relationships across global commerce platforms and DSPs.
  • Proven track record of shaping platform strategy and securing high impact positioning for repertoire.
  • Strong intuitive sense for music culture, A&R narratives, and timing.
  • Ability to balance data-driven insights with creative storytelling.
