About the Role

The North America Infrastructure Ratings team at S&P Global Ratings focuses on essential infrastructure assets across power, midstream, refining, and digital infrastructure. The team applies corporate credit and project finance skills to support capital formation in a rapidly growing sector, valuing rigorous credit assessment and a collaborative approach to deliver trusted credit opinions.

Responsibilities

  • Coach Research Assistants and Rating Analysts on credit analysis, data discipline, and analytical tooling.
  • Lead credit analysis for assigned credits, managing portfolio surveillance and updates.
  • Synthesize performance, market signals, and peer context into clear risk insights.
  • Apply large language model tools and automation in recurring analytical workflows.
  • Translate complex data, analysis, and research into clear narratives for clients, senior stakeholders, and rating committees.
  • Engage with external parties alongside senior analysts.
  • Ensure adherence to analytical methodology, confidentiality standards, and data governance requirements.
  • Escalate emerging issues early with clear options and recommendations.
  • Contribute to controlled automation and agentic workflows, supporting design requirements, testing, and rollout.
  • Maintain appropriate governance and human oversight.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, infrastructure finance, or project finance.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and articulating credit views.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of credits.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing committee-ready materials for rating committees across the North America infrastructure sector.
  • Demonstrated experience participating in management meetings, due diligence calls, and surveillance discussions.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to the production and publication of high-quality rating reports.
  • Demonstrated credit, financial, and risk analysis skills.
  • Ability to connect analytical drivers to forward-looking risk views and risk appetite.
  • Practical experience embedding AI, large language models, or agentic workflows into analytical processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and evidence-based narratives for senior stakeholders and rating committees.
  • High standards for analytical quality, traceability, and governance.
  • Experience contributing to scalable automation or agentic workflows.
  • Candidates must attend at least one in-person interview at the nearest S&P Global Ratings office.
  • Employees are required to work from the office a minimum of two days per week.
  • Must have an indefinite right to work in the United States or Canada.
