About the Role
CDM Smith is seeking an experienced leader for mechanical/facilities related projects. The successful candidate will lead and manage project and technical delivery, foster client relationships, and collaborate on proposals. This role offers flexible work options and a potential sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Create, establish, and support client relationships with high-level goals provided.
- Lead project and technical delivery for opportunities in the MEP/Facilities market space.
- Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to client requests for proposal (RFPs).
- Review draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local, and federal regulations and best practices.
- Meet with current and potential future clients to review their design needs.
- Attend conferences and symposia to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services.
- Develop HVAC systems master planning & studies, HVAC & Plumbing systems, mechanical systems (co-generation), and sustainability/energy efficiency/renewable energy/green buildings.
- Review draft designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and sign off on completed designs.
- Ensure firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
- Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff.
- Mentor more junior staff and develop them for future growth within the discipline and firm.
- Supervise the work of junior engineers on project work.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required to comply with U.S. government contract and federal site access requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering, or in Engineering Technology or related discipline.
- Professional engineering (PE) license.
- 10 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
