About the Role

Chubb is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Construction Casualty Underwriting Team. You’ll work with some of the largest and most complex tier 1 contractors, infrastructure/civil projects, middle market contractors, and specialist construction businesses across the UK, Ireland, and internationally. This is a high-impact role with responsibility for growing and managing a diverse portfolio, partnering with key national, independent, and wholesale brokers.

Responsibilities

Underwrite new and renewal business in line with Chubb’s underwriting guidelines, budgets, and local business plans.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, internal stakeholders, and external clients, representing Chubb’s brand and values.
Proactively service key producers and clients through regular engagement, focusing on business acquisition, retention, and cross-selling opportunities.
Contribute to the development and execution of underwriting strategy, portfolio management, and forecasting to achieve profitability targets.
Ensure quality control and compliance within your area of responsibility, including timely and accurate policy documentation and quotations.
Mentor and coach junior colleagues, fostering a high-performing underwriting team.
Allocate resources effectively to meet business objectives.
