About the Role

Triangle Services Division, Century Direct Solutions, located in Islandia, NY, is a printer/mailer specializing in data management, data processing and personalized printing. We have an exceptional opportunity for a Digital Pre Press/Letter Operator.

Responsibilities

• Translate Mac and PC In Design/Creative Cloud projects into Quadient (GMC) Inspire workflows.
• Work with customers, understand instructions, enter orders and traffic multiple projects simultaneously.
• Recognize and balance client needs for quality, schedule/on time delivery and budget.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in direct mail/print production.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Pitstop/Neo, MS Office, and Acrobat workflows.
• Strictly prepping files for print, not a design position.
• Comfortable with advanced layouts with variable and transactional data.
• Working knowledge of printed products and processes.
• Knowledge of pre-flighting files and trapping process work is key.
• Capable of creating a workable WFD file from a complex InDesign project, and an InDesign file that is not only full of moving parts, but may involve conventional printing as well.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience in Direct Mail production.
• Practical command of tables, position scripting, and familiarity with banking and insurance work.
• Experienced with dynamic layouts, and adapting designs originally developed for the web to print.
