About the Role
FIRST is a global brand experience agency specializing in Content, Creative, Digital Technology, Management & Delivery, and Data & Insights. Responsibilities
- Full life-cycle planning and execution of virtual, in-person, and hybrid events.
- Manage event budgets, expenses, and financial reporting.
- Source, negotiate, and manage contracts for venues and suppliers.
- Coordinate event logistics including registration, accommodation, transportation, A/V, and catering.
- Collaborate with internal teams on event deliverables such as design, A/V, and data management.
- Plan and manage virtual events, including platform selection and attendee communication.
- Co-plan larger programs with colleagues and clients, demonstrating strong teamwork.
- Ensure adherence to client operational standards, policies, and compliance guidelines.
- Travel for site inspections and on-site event management.
- Conduct post-event wrap-ups, including budget reconciliation and client debriefs.
- Share best practices and knowledge of new suppliers and services.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of event management experience, preferably in a corporate or financial environment.
- Experience in managing events, conferences, meetings, and productions, including C-level executive events.
- Experience working with and managing senior clients.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel).
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage projects.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Virtual event experience preferred (Webex, Zoom a plus).
- Leadership, influencing, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Adaptable and resourceful individual with the ability to generate innovative solutions.
- Customer-focused with the ability to adjust to client needs and styles.
- Strong client management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ambitious, proactive, and highly organized.
- Willing to travel for site-visits and on-site event management.
- Experience with large and complex databases preferred (Cvent experience preferred).
- Knowledge of venues and suppliers in key European cities.
