About the Role
The SCOR Business Solutions (SBS) Operations team supports SBS and Cedant Facultative underwriting operations by providing operational leadership, specialist support, reporting, process improvement, controls, and system enhancements. This senior role requires sound judgment on complex operational issues and shaping scalable, controlled, and efficient ways of working.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level operational expertise to the SBS Operations team and broader P&C Organisation.
- Take ownership of complex analysis, coordination, and improvement activity.
- Act as a subject matter expert for SBS and Cedant Facultative operations.
- Provide guidance, challenge, and recommendations on operational best practice, process design, and control effectiveness.
- Lead the review, update, and creation of process documentation.
- Coordinate and oversee key Syndicate timetable activities, including Month Close, Regulatory Returns, Analytical Segmentation, and Operational Management Reporting.
- Define, monitor, and interpret KPIs and operational metrics, providing insight and escalating risks.
- Drive process improvements from identification through to delivery.
- Analyze complex opportunities across people, process, technology, and data to identify trends and inefficiencies.
- Develop and influence recommendations to improve accuracy, efficiency, scalability, control effectiveness, and service delivery.
- Ensure operational practices comply with regulatory standards, company policies, data protection, and audit requirements.
- Lead the onboarding of new business lines, coordinating activities for successful integration.
- Champion the embedding of Operational Resilience requirements within business-as-usual operations.
- Provide a senior business perspective on how new technologies could advance SCOR’s analytical capability.
