About the Role
Darling Ingredients is seeking a Plant Laborer for their Berlin, WI facility. This entry-level manufacturing role offers a competitive wage and comprehensive benefits within a stable, worldwide company.
Responsibilities
- Control the process of turning raw material into finished goods.
- Start up and shut down the production line.
- Maximize efficiency while the production line is running.
- Monitor control panels and various gauges on key equipment.
- Sample and test for quality, making process adjustments based on results.
- Verify equipment is properly locked out for repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties such as lubricating machinery.
- Assist with cleaning air handling or other processing equipment as part of the weekly cleaning schedule.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience is preferred.
- Mechanical abilities are a big plus.
- Ability to understand a complex process and how everything works together.
- Attentive to safety.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
- Efficient and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
