About the Role
This Senior Product Manager role within Visa Direct’s Currencycloud product focuses on building the infrastructure for global money movement. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, own a significant product problem space, and collaborate with various teams to deliver against the product strategy. The role involves shaping long-term product strategy, translating it into roadmaps, and mentoring other Product Managers.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and communication of a product strategy for the tribe.
- Lead market, customer, competitor, and technology analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
- Build alignment and secure buy-in for the product strategy from stakeholders and leadership.
- Guide the translation of strategic goals into actionable product backlogs and prioritize features.
- Act as the accountable product lead on large cross-functional discovery initiatives.
- Run discovery with clients and internal users to uncover problems and opportunities.
- Engage with customers and colleagues to ideate new features and products.
- Raise the bar for discovery across the tribe by sharing best practices and coaching PMs.
- Oversee and support end-to-end product development of critical releases.
- Lead large, complex cross-functional programs of work across multiple teams.
- Work with engineering and delivery leaders to keep cross-team initiatives moving at pace.
- Ensure timely delivery against the strategic roadmap.
- Partner with Product Marketing and GTM teams on go-to-market strategy, positioning, and launch.
- Drive adoption and usage across regions, segments, and use cases.
- Define and track key metrics for your problem space and use data to decide improvements.
- Communicate product performance and impact clearly to stakeholders.
- Create clarity and alignment across multiple teams and functions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and advocate for product initiatives.
- Coach and mentor Product Managers in the tribe.
- Help shape and evolve the tribe's ways of working, rituals, and standards for product craft.
Requirements
- Typically, 5-7+ years of proven experience in a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager role.
- Experience coaching other Product Managers is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to shape product strategy and roadmaps using market research, customer insight, competitive analysis, and data.
- Strong prioritization and product judgment, with a track record of making clear trade-offs and data-informed decisions.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing decision-making at multiple organizational levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in Fintech domains such as payments, FX, transaction banking, or trading is preferred.
- High agency and a strong bias to action.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Analytical and commercially sharp.
- Comfortable challenging the status quo, simplifying complexity and finding pragmatic ways forward.
- Clear and confident communicator.
- Structured and organised, with strong attention to detail.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
