About the Role
Internship opportunity focusing on mobility and transport planning, traffic economics, and climate protection. The role involves contributing to projects related to railway infrastructure capital costs, regulatory issues, and economic evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with traffic economic issues in consulting projects, including financing and business models, market evaluations (e.g., taxi and ride-sharing markets), and methodology development.
- Support data-driven analysis, modeling, and the creation of evidence-based arguments.
- Conduct statistical analyses, including demand, development, and trend forecasts.
- Contribute to mobility planning tasks such as public transport plans, integrated mobility concepts, and sustainable urban mobility plans.
- Prepare and analyze data using GIS and public transport planning software.
- Assist with project management, report writing, presentations, and workshop materials.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Economic Sciences, Mobility Planning, Transport Studies, or Mobility Management.
- Strong interest in consulting public clients on economic issues, particularly in infrastructure, regulation, and transport.
- Interest in sectors such as rail, energy, water, or other utility companies.
- Ideally, some prior exposure to capital market models (e.g., CAPM).
- Demonstrated responsibility, carefulness, and structured approach to data handling.
- Good English language skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in data analysis (Excel, R, Stata) is advantageous.
