About the Role
As a Risk Engineer within the SZC Project Controls team, you will serve as a center of excellence for managing and strategically using delivery performance management information. Your role will enable the successful delivery of the SZC Project through proactive Project Controls, driving forward-looking solutions to continuously improve performance. You will work within the Project Management Office (PMO) and support one of SZC’s delivery programs.
Responsibilities
- Support the operation of all PMO risk processes across SZC, reporting to a Senior Risk Manager.
- Support the ownership, deployment, and continuous improvement of PMO risk process elements within a delivery program.
- Help ensure controls operate within the SZC governance structure, organization, and delivery model.
- Ensure PMO risk activities are carried out efficiently in accordance with calendars and deadlines.
- Support the Senior Risk Manager within one of the SZC capital delivery programs.
- Support the Senior Risk Manager in operating Integrated Project Controls (Risk) processes.
- Support with tasks directed by the Senior Risk Manager.
- Support the Senior Risk Manager with the delivery of risk activities such as EAC update, ERR preparation, Integrated-QRA development.
- Support the Senior Risk Manager with progress reporting including monthly risk dashboard updates, forecast to complete, variance identification, delivery process insights and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Experience of working in a large-scale project environment.
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Good facilitation skills; able to independently facilitate workshops within programme.
- Good engagement skills; able to independently engage teams of project and corporate professionals.
- Project management and broader project controls experience desirable.
- Good technical skills; able to deliver QRAs with support, spanning Cost QRAs and Schedule QRAs.
- Linked capability to integrate/ support breadth of project controls/ project delivery/ business support processes (e.g. Finance).
- Good client/ contractor/ consultancy/ government experience.
- Good major project/ corporate experience.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, ordinarily requiring UK residency for at least three of the past five years.

About the Company
- Sizewell C’s business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk.
