About the Role

Responsibilities
- Give advice to internal stakeholders and develop frameworks on regulatory requirements, Compliance policies, risk mitigation and controls and new business initiatives.
- Provide input on regulatory change and issues.
- Interact with key stakeholders and regulators on our Compliance and Operational Risk program.
- Preparation and delivery of Compliance training and drafting and managing Compliance monitoring tasks and reporting.
- Coordination with line of business compliance groups as well as other corporate control functions such as business management, controls, audit, tax and finance as required.
- Assist in the design, development, implementation and ongoing operation of the Compliance and Operational Risk program.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, reviews, and inspections by managing evidence collection, issue tracking, and action plan governance.
- Promote a strong compliance and risk culture by partnering across teams, communicating expectations clearly, and reinforcing accountability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a legal, compliance, or related regulatory compliance work.
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the financial services industry in Australia and New Zealand.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in a complex, multi-entity or global financial institution environment.
- Demonstrated experience translating financial services regulatory requirements into actionable controls, procedures, and governance routines.
- Experience coordinating regulatory engagements (e.g., supervisory reviews, information requests, and remediation commitments).
- Experience supporting audit, controls testing, or issue management, including evidence preparation and remediation tracking.
- Proven stakeholder management skills, including the ability to challenge constructively and drive outcomes across teams.
- Strong attention to detail, quality orientation, and sound judgement under time pressure or incomplete information.
