About the Role

As a working student in Direct Procurement at BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH, you will join a team responsible for procuring technical services and materials for power plant sites and district heating projects. This role offers insights into real-world procurement processes, contract negotiations, and project management, providing a practical application of theoretical knowledge in an interdisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

Support procurement with operational procurement processes and administrative tasks.
Obtain and process supplier quotations, prepare bid comparisons, and create procurement-relevant analyses.
Maintain supplier, item, and order data, ensuring high data quality.
Participate in order processing and coordination with internal departments and suppliers.
Assist in analyzing and optimizing existing procurement processes, workflows, and data structures.
Contribute to the preparation of procurement decisions and smaller projects for efficiency improvement in procurement.

Requirements

Currently enrolled as a student, ideally in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Law, Energy Technology, or Environmental Technology.
Interest in project work, contract management, and communication.
Interest in construction and contract law, with ideally some prior experience.
Structured work approach with enjoyment in research and documentation.
Independent and analytical working style.
Fluent written and spoken German language skills.
