About the Role

Catapult is seeking a Senior Computer Vision & Tracking Engineer to lead the development of computer vision and real-time tracking systems for camera-based products. This role involves building the perception stack that transforms vision data into athlete performance insights, from neural network inference on edge AI accelerators to 3D object tracking and data science validation. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex, real-world problems and has experience with real-time perception systems under practical constraints.

Responsibilities

Drive the technical direction of computer vision and tracking, covering the full pipeline from sensor readings to metric calculation.
Train, optimize, and deploy neural networks for real-time segmentation and classification on embedded hardware.
Extend the tracking and motion recognition pipeline to support new movements and analysis types.
Own domain reliability by analyzing tracking accuracy, building quality metrics, and driving pipeline improvements.

Requirements

4+ years of software engineering experience with significant depth in complex systems engineering.
Demonstrated experience shipping production systems with end-to-end ownership.
Strong proficiency in Python and C/C++.
Ability to own ambiguous problems, including scoping, prototyping, shipping, and measuring.
Experience with real-time perception systems operating under real-world constraints.
