About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and feedback.
  • Develop, review, and modify assessments, including rubrics.
  • Manage Moodle by setting up and updating module delivery content.
  • Develop and confirm the accuracy of assessments in Moodle.
  • Review Moodle gradebooks for accuracy and accessibility.
  • Prepare and provide feedback on formative assessment tasks.
  • Ensure assessments are marked with detailed feedback for student improvement.
  • Support communication of the USYD Partnership Student Success Policy Framework.
  • Manage classrooms effectively, including attendance and behavior.
  • Prepare, maintain, and evaluate teaching and learning resources.
  • Prepare for and manage College intervention weeks, providing feedback on student progress.
  • Assist with diagnostic assessment of student learning support.
  • Engage with professional updating to support currency in teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
  • Provide feedback reports after attending scholarly activities.
  • Participate in the College Peer Observation program.
  • Take student rolls and record attendance.
  • Maintain accurate records of enrolled users in Moodle.
  • Upload student assessment marks and outcomes to Moodle in a timely manner.
  • Participate in relevant internal and external meetings, activities, and networks.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in education and/or a relevant field of expertise and related Academic Discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with a learning management system (e.g., Moodle) to assist and enhance module delivery.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and empathy for an International Education environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, embrace change, and manage competing priorities.
  • Working with Children check undertaken prior to appointment.
  • Full working rights within Australia.
  • Successful candidates may be required to provide a Working with Children Check and undergo a Police Check.
