About the Role
Palo Alto Networks is seeking a cybersecurity professional to act as a trusted advisor to potential and existing clients, developing and proposing effective solutions to their cybersecurity challenges. This role involves understanding a wide range of products and technologies to optimize solutions and contribute to long-term network security planning.
Responsibilities
- Establish status as a trusted advisor with potential and existing clients through continuous high-touch proposal activities in collaboration with account managers and partners.
- Identify and understand client issues, pinpointing specific causes to develop achievable roadmaps and propose viable solutions.
- Propose solutions that optimize the entire solution for clients by understanding a broad range of products.
- Develop and propose effective solutions to resolve client cybersecurity challenges.
- Continuously self-learn to maintain technical leadership in technologies covered by our products (e.g., security, networking, AI, data centers, SDN, public cloud).
- Understand the superiority of our products through industry trend and competitor information gathering to enable effective differentiation proposals.
Requirements
- Deep technical knowledge in a specific technical area (network security, cloud security, endpoint security, AI security, etc.).
- Experience in technical pre-sales or solution proposal.
- Basic knowledge of networking (IP, TCP/IP, Routing, NAT, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of internet and cybersecurity.
- Strong communication skills enabling logical proposals by correctly understanding client intentions.
- Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and products.
- Fluent or native level Japanese proficiency (JLPT Level 1).
- Experience managing or leading large-scale projects.
- Experience proposing to CIOs and CXOs.
- Possession of security-related certifications.
- Business-level English proficiency.
