About the Role
Susquehanna is seeking an Operations Analyst for their Hong Kong office to manage the day-to-day operations of the back office. This role involves position reconciliations, timely trade capture, accurate Profit and Loss reporting, and maintaining a strong control framework throughout the trade lifecycle to support organizational growth.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile position, cash, and trade activity before market open.
- Reconcile front office Profit and Loss estimates to prime broker reporting.
- Analyze accruals, including capital & interest charges, expenses, and commissions.
- Perform price validation of trader end-of-day close prices.
- Liaise with external parties to resolve discrepancies.
- Contribute to system improvements for process streamlining.
- Support business growth and expansion into new products and markets.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance for onboarding new relationships.
- Assist the desk in managing Margin obligations.
- Maintain and manage operational processes according to the regulatory framework.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role within financial markets.
- Operational knowledge of financial markets.
- In-depth knowledge of trade flow through to settlement.
- Knowledge of Equity Derivatives, specifically options and equities.
- Adaptability to a fast-moving, evolving environment; hands-on approach while leading initiatives and uplifting standards.
- Ability to build strong and positive relationships internally and with broker contacts.
- Drive for efficiencies and challenging the status quo to implement changes.
- Ability to prioritize based on materiality and risk considerations.
- Analytical mindset when tackling issues.
- Knowledge of SQL, VBA, and Python is highly regarded, including the use of AI tools.
