About the Role
Welcomes and registers hotel guests, explaining accommodations and establishing credit or method of payment. Prepares and explains guest folios and performs check-outs based on benchmark standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a harmonious and professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and all departments.
- Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
- Develop healthy and happy relations with other front office team members and all hotel employees.
- Assist in other areas of the department as needed.
- Ensure all local and corporate policies, work rules, and benchmark standards are properly applied.
- Utilize Golden appropriately for maximum guest recognition/satisfaction.
- Develop guest connections and gain feedback regarding their stay or specific issues, then actively seek solutions.
- Verify arrival and departure details and arrange luggage handling, transportation, and other guest services.
- Prepare and double-check guest arrivals for the day, preparing welcome packages.
- Prepare welcome cards/letters for Four Seasons employees on complimentary or employee rate stays.
- Perform smooth check-in and check-out processes based on benchmark standards.
- Maintain a balanced bank, make change, cash checks, exchange foreign currency, and reconcile transactions.
- Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests and resolving complaints.
- Respond to all guest requests accurately and in a timely manner.
- Actively report glitches that occurred during a shift to a Supervisor or Guest Relations Manager.
- Accept reservations, changes, and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department Staff.
- Answer guest calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of a Communications Operator.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
- Seek opportunities for upselling guests to higher room categories, Spa, Food and Beverages, and other revenue-generating hotel activities.
- Maintain and control expenses.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent experience.
- Preferred one to two years’ experience in a related position with Four Seasons or other luxury hospitality brand.
