About the Role
The Medical Scribe will work alongside physicians and healthcare providers to document patient encounters in real-time, allowing providers to focus more on direct patient care.
Responsibilities
- Accurately document patient history, physical exam findings, procedures, and diagnostic test results as dictated by the provider.
- Enter patient information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in preparing charts for upcoming patient visits.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of medical records.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform clerical duties as needed (e.g., managing paperwork, locating test results).
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience as a scribe, medical assistant, or in a clinical setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency with EHR systems.
- Excellent listening, communication, and typing skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must speak Spanish
