About the Role
As a Carer at Dorothy Boyt House in Malabar, you will provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the comfort and health of residents in a caring and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
- Support residents with mobility and physical assistance.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor and document residents’ progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.
Requirements
- A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.
- All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
- Alignment with Anglicare’s Christian ethos and values.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a car are preferred (not mandatory) due to the home’s location.
