About the Role
This role focuses on leading and developing teams, driving financial performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service within a retail environment. It involves managing store operations, merchandising, and associate development to achieve company goals and foster a positive work culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop teams through teaching, training, and active listening.
- Provide feedback and guidance on store operations, technology, and business initiatives.
- Communicate business objectives and manage change efforts effectively.
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards.
- Resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues, and implement action plans for improvement.
- Drive financial performance and sales through P&L review, budgeting, and expense control.
- Ensure effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Supervise and develop associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties.
- Ensure associate belonging and recruit qualified candidates to meet staffing needs.
- Coordinate and complete job-related activities by developing stakeholder relationships.
- Identify and communicate goals, build accountability, and measure progress.
- Address improvement opportunities and demonstrate adaptability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements
- 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
