About the Role
This role involves independently managing day-to-day corporate accounting operations, performing financial closing activities, and ensuring tax compliance for a Japanese client in NYC.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage day-to-day corporate accounting operations.
- Perform month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Maintain and reconcile General Ledger (G/L) accounts.
- Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).
- Process payroll and employee benefits accounting.
- Ensure tax compliance and statutory reporting.
- Manage cash flow and treasury activities.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Prepare management reports for Japan headquarters.
- Improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
