About the Role
Calvary Aged Care invites compassionate individuals to join our dedicated team as Personal Care Workers. This is an opportunity to be part of a caring community committed to providing exceptional care to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Support residents to live the life they choose, allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
- Assist residents in one-on-one activities that support their well-being, including hobbies and interests aligned with the care plan.
- Contribute to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs and wants of residents through assessment and observation.
- Deliver a range of personal care tasks within an established framework, including daily hygiene (showering, shaving, dressing, mouth and eye care) and continence management.
- Assist residents requiring mobility support as per the care plan.
Requirements
- Effective interpersonal communication, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads.
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role in aged care, health care, or hospitality.
- Completion of pre-employment checks, including reference checks, work rights, criminal history check, NDIS/WWCC/WWVP checks, and a health evaluation.
