About the Role
The General Utility Worker I serves a variety of essential back of the house and front of house Food & Beverage (F&B) roles, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment and gaining extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record food and equipment temperature.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including pot/dish wash and deep clean duties.
- Attend in-house training sessions.
- Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations.
- Comply with and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy.
- Comply with and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to.
- Assist chefs with checking in food deliveries, ensuring only the highest standards of produce are accepted.
- Ensure all food storage aligns with food hygiene regulations and that stock rotation is followed.
- Perform cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
- Prepare service area and/or service points.
- Accurate storage of food items and equipment after service.
Requirements
- Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
- Courteous manner.
- Flexible approach to hours and duties.
- May have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
- May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
