About the Role

The Laptop Refresh Technician role offers an excellent entry point into IT support, providing valuable hands-on experience and exposure to a broad range of IT disciplines. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a global IT Team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, image, and configure new laptops according to company standards.
  • Migrate user data and settings from old devices to new laptops.
  • Schedule and coordinate laptop deployments with employees and departments.
  • Collect, inventory, and decommission old laptops following security protocols.
  • Install necessary applications and updates on new devices.
  • Provide first-level support during and after deployment to ensure user satisfaction.
  • Document asset transfers and update the inventory management system.
  • Work closely with the IT team to troubleshoot deployment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT security policies throughout the refresh process.
  • Work independently at times with limited supervision.
  • Engage other departments if necessary to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • College degree in any IT Discipline or 2+ years equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and imaging tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT, or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of hardware setup, software installation, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as required (up to 25 lbs).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
