About the Role

As a Software Engineer on the Product Experiences team, you will build the features users interact with daily across the Peregrine platform. You will collaborate with design and product management to deliver fast, intuitive, and trustworthy experiences that transform vast amounts of data into actionable insights for investigators and analysts. You will have significant ownership over core platform capabilities, influencing the product's direction for years to come.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with design and product management to ship experiences.
  • Take full responsibility for major features and collaborate with other engineers to drive them to completion.
  • Collaborate directly with deployment teams and users to iterate and solve problems.
  • Build search and semantic discovery to help users find information across billions of records.
  • Design Dossier views that assemble a complete picture of an entity on demand.
  • Craft real-time, collaborative experiences on detailed maps and networks.
  • Bring AI-powered capabilities to users where source transparency and trust are critical.
  • Focus on craft details such as latency, interaction design, and resilience to make complex workflows feel effortless.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional software development teams.
  • Experience shipping and iterating on production-grade, user-facing software professionally and/or in the open-source community.
  • Strong frontend fundamentals (React/TypeScript) and comfort working full-stack to ship a feature end to end.
  • Ability to write robust, well-tested, and well-designed code that is frequently deployed to users.
  • Solid understanding of architecting and scaling distributed software systems.
  • Strong best practices in modern software development and comfort navigating large codebases.
