About the Role
The University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) is seeking new colleagues to join its Scheduling Team at the UE Innovation Hub in Hamburg. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, starting as soon as possible. The role involves liaising with academic staff, scheduling courses, creating timetables, managing data, and supporting students with scheduling inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with academic staff to determine, schedule, and coordinate individual staffing needs based on student numbers and program requirements.
- Scheduling of all courses for the Berlin location and providing support to scheduling teams at other campuses if needed.
- Creating timetables for all degree programs in CampusNet.
- Drawing up teaching assignments for freelance lecturers and ensuring onboarding.
- Supporting the academic team by calculating professorial quotas for individual study programs.
- Coordination and editing of timetables in cooperation with lecturers of all departments.
- Answering student inquiries regarding scheduling-related matters in English and German.
- Reservation of rooms for optimal planning based on availability, student numbers, and course needs, in compliance with various safety concepts.
- Entering and managing data in the student administration system CampusNet.
Requirements
- University degree.
- Extensive MS Office skills.
- Experience with administrative work.
- Enjoyment of organizing and planning.
- Knowledge of CampusNet or another student information system.
- Good written and spoken German and English skills.
- Enthusiasm for the higher education sector.
- High degree of reliability, initiative, organizational skills, team spirit, commitment, and flexibility.
- Openness to working in an international environment.
- Great communication skills, intercultural awareness, and openness to new experiences and challenges.
