About the Role

As a marketing manager at Whatnot, you’re responsible for driving hyper-growth and helping sellers expand their businesses rapidly. You quickly understand users and communities across various categories, developing and executing marketing plans focused on generating demand from both new and existing buyers. You excel at problem-solving and utilizing multiple marketing channels, including digital events, influencer relationships, creator content, paid advertising, and seller campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Own buyer acquisition across a priority category, devising campaigns and events that generate buzz and grow demand.
  • Own the end-to-end planning and execution of on-platform events, product releases, and community moments across multiple channels.
  • Manage a portfolio of influencers, serving as the DRI for relationship management, content ideation, execution, and reporting.
  • Partner with other marketers (social, paid creative) to develop plans supporting tentpole campaigns and provide category insights.
  • Measure and iterate on the effectiveness of category marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of marketing experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience at a high-growth startup, marketplace, or creator-focused platform is a plus.
  • Versatile marketer capable of flexing across strategy and execution.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and own initiatives across multiple channels.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Data-driven with experience tracking KPIs and monitoring marketing program success.
  • Scrappy and flexible enough to work in a fast-paced startup environment with limited guidance.
  • Comfortable pivoting quickly as needed.
