About the Role
Mycroft is an AI-native security and compliance platform where specialized AI agents and human experts collaborate to secure customer devices, manage vulnerabilities, and quantify risk. We offer a superior alternative to manual checklists or expensive consultants by integrating expert knowledge with an advanced agentic platform for accessible continuous compliance. We are experiencing rapid growth, doubling revenue in the last six months and projecting 5x growth this year. This is an opportunity to own significant product design challenges in a fast-paced, early-stage environment where your work has a direct impact.
Responsibilities
- Own the hardest design problems in dense, expert-facing workflows across frameworks, controls, evidence, and risk.
- Define and uphold the craft bar for product design, including the design system, patterns, and quality standards.
- Ensure design-to-build fidelity by collaborating closely with engineers through implementation.
- Mentor a junior designer through critique, pairing, and establishing standards.
- Raise the overall design bar for the team beyond individual output.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product design experience with clear ownership of complex B2B or expert-tool surfaces (e.g., data-heavy, workflow-heavy, regulated, or infrastructure products).
- Portfolio demonstrating information architecture and state logic, not just visual polish.
- Experience building or significantly evolving a production design system.
- Ability to choose the best artifact for communication (diagram, prototype, static handoff).
- Experience mentoring designers and raising a team's design bar.
- Strong collaboration skills with engineers, including naming states/edge cases and negotiating scope.
- Located in the Toronto/GTA area.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Professional fluency in English.
- An appetite for hands-on work within the security and compliance domain.
- Genuine interest in the security and compliance industry.
