About the Role

Equitable is seeking a driven, curious, and relationship-focused Wealth Planning Associate to launch a long-term career in financial services. This is a structured, immersive development opportunity designed for individuals who want to build deep financial expertise, gain real client exposure, and learn directly from successful Financial Professionals. This role is a career accelerator, providing exposure, mentorship, and responsibility early in your career.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain core financial services licenses, including Series 7, Series 66, and Life & Health
  • Learn Equitable’s comprehensive financial planning process
  • Develop a strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and wealth-building solutions
  • Gain skills to effectively engage clients and communicate complex financial concepts clearly
  • Work directly with existing Equitable clients
  • Help clients position and optimize their current investments to support long-term financial goals
  • Partner with clients as their needs evolve
  • Build confidence through hands-on experience in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Support advisors by engaging with their clients and helping drive business efficiency and growth
  • Collaborate directly with clients to help them advance toward their financial objectives
  • Gain an inside view of building, managing, and sustaining a successful financial practice
  • Receive targeted training in client prospecting and relationship development
  • Receive targeted training in conducting effective face-to-face client meetings
  • Receive targeted training in developing and delivering client seminars
  • Receive targeted training in understanding and managing business expenses and operations

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 active registrations
  • State Life Insurance licenses
  • Proven experience in building and managing customer relationships, with a focus on trust, service excellence, and long-term engagement
  • Prior sales experience, ideally within financial services (Banking, Insurance, Property & Casualty, or Retail Investments)
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
