About the Role
As a member of the Executive Committee, the Director of Human Resources champions, develops, and implements consistent property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property colleagues. This role is responsible for the efficient administration and management of the Human Resources function for the resort, providing oversight to recruiting, training, colleague relations, policies and procedures, wage/benefit administration, compliance with statutory requirements, and the execution of employee relation activities.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the Human Resources Department's strategy in conjunction with Corporate guidelines and initiatives.
- Advises managers on resolving colleague issues and concerns.
- Develops, directs, and oversees overall hotel recruitment and hiring activities.
- Creates, coordinates, and executes training initiatives.
- Executes and follows-up on Colleague Relations activities.
- Manages the Induction / Onboarding process.
- Oversees training.
- Focuses on colleague development for future career growth.
- Provides overall functional supervision of HODs for all their HR related matters.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar position in a hotel with training experience required.
- Working knowledge of local employment laws required.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills required.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Must have a great attitude and be service oriented.
- Must be a team player.
- Previous pre-opening and/or resort experience preferred.
