Responsibilities
- Clean allocated parts of the school following Health & Safety guidelines.
- Safely use chemicals, cleaning materials, and PPE as instructed.
- Operate cleaning machinery for soft and hard surfaces.
- Maintain school hygiene and safety standards for cleaning equipment and closets.
- Report hazards, defects, and equipment breakdowns immediately to the Operations Manager.
- Perform tasks including vacuum cleaning, spot cleaning, wiping furniture, emptying bins, cleaning toilets, mopping floors, and replenishing supplies.
- Check and close windows, and switch off lights after work.
- Undertake additional duties during school closures, such as floor stripping/sealing, high-level dusting, and wall washing.
Skills
- Safe use of chemicals and cleaning materials
- Operation of cleaning machinery (e.g., vacuum cleaners, polishers)
- Knowledge of Health & Safety guidelines
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage
