About the Role
Longhorn Village is seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Hostess. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationships with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, be creative, and work towards accomplishing facility goals.
Responsibilities
- Serves cocktails, wines, and drinks to residents and guests in the dining room and bar.
- Maintains inventory of all bar supplies.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- Secures all liquor inventory and supplies.
- Completes order guides to ensure par levels are sufficient and submits requests for orders.
- Courteously and professionally seats all residents and their guests in the dining room.
- Assists servers with servicing, bussing, and cleaning tables.
- Assists with training and assures proper service is given to residents and guests.
- Alerts Supervisor of any concerns or problems pertaining to residents and their guests.
- Cooperates and coordinates work activities with co-workers to ensure a smoothly run department.
- Follows all outlined policies and procedures for the dining services department.
- Maintains work area and keeps the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.
- Must be 19 years of age or older to serve alcohol.
