About the Role
To create and maintain the next generation of application infrastructure, focusing on reliability, automation, and scalability using the latest best practices.
Responsibilities
- Implement software and tools to improve application performance, availability, scalability, and latency while meeting security standards.
- Build automation and tooling for application management, including deployments, configuration changes, and disaster recovery.
- Implement and evangelize Observability and monitoring systems for proactive problem detection and root cause analysis.
- Continuously evaluate application capacity, provide scaling recommendations, and deliver end products efficiently.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Implement standards across multiple disciplines, systems, and practices to enhance application delivery.
- Provide feedback and technical requirements to the software development lifecycle, implementing best-practice microservice design patterns.
- Serve as a technical liaison for the application, providing documentation and runbooks to support teams.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Champion excellent processes and develop repeatable patterns and reusable work across teams.
- Support the company's commitment to protect system and data integrity and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Typically requires completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of related experience managing large complex projects in a technical or software development environment, inclusive of post-graduate degree.
- Demonstrated experience in effective Incident and Problem Management.
- Proven related work experience in a medium to large scale enterprise.
- Strong understanding of scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience implementing and using modern Observability solutions.
- Linux systems administration experience.
- Good knowledge of Git.
- Experience with security and encryption protocols.
- Comfortable with facilitating collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders.
- Excellent oral and written communication and people skills.
- High level of customer responsiveness, excellent documentation and communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer at the date of hire; employment Visa sponsorship is not available.
- Background and drug screen required.

Salary/Compensations
- Phoenix, AZ/ Chicago, IL in USD per year is: $106,000 - $130,000.
- San Francisco, CA in USD per year is: $128,000 - $156,000.
