About the Role
We are looking for a Bilingual Senior Growth and Innovation Strategist to lead cross-functional, net-new growth initiatives that sit outside existing channel roadmaps. Your mission is to build a Growth Innovation Roadmap from scratch, identify and validate new growth vectors, drive synergy across teams and business units, and turn hypotheses into measurable outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, growth R&D, product marketing, and program orchestration, requiring strong influence, disciplined experimentation, and exceptional cross-functional leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own the Growth Innovation Roadmap
- Map "white-space" opportunities beyond current streams and prioritize using frameworks (ICE/RICE), aligning to business objectives.
- Structure a portfolio of experiments, from pilots and POCs to scaled deployment.
- Design, test, and scale new initiatives including acquisition and activation programs, partnerships and ecosystems, new marketing technologies and products, and new channels and audiences.
- Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration with various teams to scope, de-risk, and launch initiatives.
- Establish operating models and rituals, RACI, and scale-up playbooks.
- Drive executive alignment, effective stakeholder communications, and change management.
- Define hypotheses, experiment designs, success criteria, sampling plans, and test types.
- Track portfolio KPIs across the funnel.
- Implement feedback loops, post-mortems, and a knowledge base.
- Create synergies and integrate with existing streams by connecting cross-functional initiatives to existing roadmaps to amplify impact.
- Define clear handoffs and criteria to transition pilots into BAU ownership.
- Optimize growth operations by developing and improving processes, automation, and tooling.
- Foster a responsible, data-driven, impact-oriented innovation culture.
Requirements
- Builder/entrepreneurial mindset: autonomous, creative, solution-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Influential communication with executives and diverse stakeholders; ability to simplify complexity and create alignment.
- Holistic, systems-level view of growth to identify cross-team synergies and unlock new levers.
- Execution rigor: turn ideas into measurable results with a steady cadence of tests and learnings.
- Change leadership: challenge the status quo, manage risk intelligently, and turn pilots into durable levers.
- Proven experience launching and scaling initiatives in multi-brand/multi-product environments.
- Strong skills leading cross-functional programs spanning Marketing, IT/Data, and corporate functions (Legal, Actuarial, Operations).
- Mastery of structured experimentation processes and impact measurement (A/B testing, basic causal methods concepts, business cases).
- Strong program management and prioritization skills (ICE/RICE, business cases, ROI/LTV).
- Strong command of growth analytics and metrics: GA4/Adobe, BI tools (Looker/Tableau/Power BI); understanding of attribution/MMM is a plus.
- Knowledge of MarTech/AdTech stacks and comfort working with IT and data engineering.
- Partnerships and negotiation: scoping, contracting with Legal/Compliance, and risk management.
- Bilingualism (French and English) – required to interact regularly with colleagues and external partners across the country.
- Experience in regulated industries such as financial services/insurance, combined with familiarity with promotional programs (cashback, referrals), contests, and compliance, is considered an asset.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout their employment and are solely responsible for maintaining their work eligibility.
