About the Role
The Wholesale Planning Manager serves as a trusted advisor, driving the forecast signal to support brand success by collaborating with sales, inventory management, merchants, and external account partners to lead successful inventory investments. This role reports to the Director of Wholesale Planning.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales, merchants, and wholesale customers to build and manage sales and inventory plans that deliver total line productivity and shape financial and inventory decisions.
- Build monthly forecasts, identify trends, and capitalize on opportunities to maximize growth and mitigate risk.
- Provide oversight for wholesale customer planning in addition to primary ownership for a business segment.
- Facilitate, develop, and implement action plans to drive business growth through information and action across teams.
- Conduct quantitative analysis to enhance productivity, respond to trends, identify outliers, and initiate responses.
- Lead monthly plan reviews for leadership, highlighting key drivers of risk and opportunity, with support from sales, merchants, and inventory management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or 8+ years of combined college education and work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of planning experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- High proficiency with Excel, including complex functions.
- Skillful in data visualization and storytelling to present ideas and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data.
- Experience planning across multiple seasons, signaling, and partnering on risks/opportunities with stakeholders.
- Desire to grow as a people leader and collaborative partner within the organization and with key customers.
