About the Role
You will be handling contents claims virtually, including escalated claims with complex contents. You will conduct thorough coverage investigations, use advanced video technology to collaborate with vendors for damage identification and estimates, and communicate empathetically with customers throughout the claims process.
Responsibilities
- Handle escalated claims files that have complex contents.
- Conduct a thorough coverage investigation of the loss and ensure the policy was applied correctly.
- Use advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors to identify damages and write a contents damage estimate.
- Communicate empathetically with customers and help them through their claim process in a fast, fair and easy manner.
- Negotiate claim settlements with customers in accordance with business unit standard methodologies.
- Coordinate with structure adjusters to ensure holistic handling of the claim file.
- Use data and analytics to tell a story and influence decision making.
Requirements
- Residency within New York or New Jersey.
- 4+ years of experience using estimating software like Xactimate for complex contents estimating.
- Previous experience handling property insurance claims.
- Value providing an effortless customer service experience.
- Enjoy the ability to work independently starting your day from home.

- Are organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Are known for clear and professional communication – both written and verbal.
