About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Deployment Engineering team in North America. This role requires a technically sharp, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and leads from the front. You will manage a team of Forward Deployed Engineers, focusing on building agentic solutions with Cohere's North platform, integrating AI into critical sectors like finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Forward Deployed Engineers focused on building agentic solutions with North in on-premises environments.
- Take ownership of customer success from technical implementation through delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to shape how we deliver AI to enterprises.
- Build relationships with technical stakeholders on the customer end.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, focusing on bringing agentic solutions to every step of the development process.
- Define and implement processes that scale agent development and deployment across multiple client environments.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams
- Experience managing engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise software at scale, with focus on agentic applications
- High agency - you don't wait for permission to solve problems
- A doer mentality - you dig in, get stuff done, and can execute in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and business audiences
